New Knowledge Brief examines climate and gender budget tagging across partner districts

SIGRA has published a new Knowledge Brief examining how Ghanaian districts are integrating climate and gender priorities into their budgets.

Comparative Analysis of Gender, Climate and Climate–Gender Tagging Across SIGRA Partner MMDAs reviews 2026 budget tagging across the project’s five partner Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies. It sets out where districts are successfully identifying climate and gender expenditure, where tagging remains inconsistent, and what this means for planning and accountability.

The brief draws out practical lessons for stronger gender-responsive climate planning, and is intended to support district planning officers, budget officers and national institutions working on climate finance tracking.
