SIGRA co-sponsored and took part in the 2025 Flower Community Fair, held from 5 to 7 December 2025 at the University of Ghana under the theme “Green Living Simplified: Transform Your Space into a Garden.”

Across the fair, conversations and hands-on sessions broke climate action down into practical steps that everyday people — especially women and young people — can apply. The GrowHER Workshop highlighted women’s climate leadership through small-space gardening, while Conversations in the Park connected gender equity, sustainability and shared roles in the green transition.

The fair drew an estimated 5,900 in-person participants, with strong interest in composting, vertical and small-space gardening, water-saving techniques and practical home solutions.

As part of the follow-on Green Schools Project, SIGRA returned to Achimota School for greening and planting activities linking climate change, biodiversity and gender-responsive environmental stewardship, sharing maintenance guidance to help students sustain the initiative.
