Access to Climate Finance
Improved Enabling Environment and Gender-Responsive NAP Implementation
Overview
This component focuses on strengthening institutional systems and policy frameworks at the national and sub-national levels to improve Ghana’s access to, and effective utilization of, climate finance. SIGRA works with key ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) to integrate gender and climate considerations into planning, budgeting, and reporting processes.
Activities:
- Technical assistance to MoF, NDPC, and other MDAs to access climate finance and integrate gender and climate into planning guidelines.
- Capacity building of staff on gender-responsive budgeting and planning.
- Organizational self-assessments and performance improvement plans.
- Development of tools and proposals for tracking climate-related expenditures.
