SIGRA Climate Adaptation Projects

Nanumba South District in Ghana’s Northern Region is experiencing the harsh effects of climate change, including erratic rainfall, longer dry seasons, and reduced agricultural productivity. These challenges have led to food insecurity, increased workload for women and girls, and rising pressure on natural resources such as water and firewood.

SIGRA is supporting a climate adaptation project focused on establishing irrigation systems in Wulensi and Nakpayili to support all-year farming, as part of the first of three years of grants.
